The ESSCHSA was formed as a small, non-rated local horse show on Virginia's Eastern Shore in 1979. It is primarily
a schooling circuit, but participants are encouraged to join as members and accumulate points for our year-end awards
banquet. All breeds and all riders are welcome!
Organization Purpose The purposes for which this Association is formed and the businesses and objects to be carried on and promoted by it shall be as follows: (a) To promote the use and welfare of all horses and ponies regardless of their breed. (b) To establish a common basis under which to show our horses and ponies. (c) To foster the improvement of horses and ponies in our area. To foster and preserve the interest of breeders, owners and users of horses and ponies in our area. Our Mission Our mission is to promote equine-related interests of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. We strive to make a difference
by providing a safe, fun horse show environment to our members and our community.
