a. The banquet has been rescheduled to February 20th. Location
remains at the Eastern Shore Yacht & Country Club. We will begin set-up at 6:30 Friday night.

Auction items are still needed. They can be brought the night of the banquet or dropped off at Pat Gorman's house.
Please let Amy know if you are donating something.
c. There will be a raffle
for the Ocean City weekend donated by Charlie Purnell and the wheelbarrow full of "horse stuff".
d.
The Pocomoke YMCA donated an adult year's membership. Michelle will call to follow-up on PR for that and will contact
the ES YMCA regarding making a similar donation.
e. There are several perpetual trophies
that may need to be retired. This will be revisited at the March meeting.
IV.
Show Committee
a. A class list was distributed.
b.
The 2009 Rules Book will be updated by the February meeting. Supplementary forms such as contracts and forms will be
available on the website.
c. To encourage people to host shows this year, knowing
entries may be a little down, the possibility of refunding show sanctioning fees and/or trailer rental fees if there were
fewer than "x" entries was discussed.
d. The Membership Directory/Advertising
Rates was discussed. It was decided instead of mailing forms to former advertisers, we would send out emails and/or
make phone calls. People who have made a donation for the banquet were also offered a free advertisement.
e.
A list of "suggested" judges will be provided for show managers that need them.
f.
A few people have questioned the way points are tallied and why ESSCHSA does not post points. It was suggested an explanation
of the reasoning behind this philosophy will be posted in the rules book and on the website. ESSCHSA has chosen not
to post points because in the history of the Association the practice of posting points caused a lot of conflict in the past.
Show participants can call the points keeper to request their points at any time during the year. They are also audited
at least twice during the year.
